'Mad Jack's' table

Our menus change regularly to take advantage of the availability of local produce and seasonal items.

Sandwiches and baguettes, Ploughman's Lunch and jacket potatoes are also available from the bar, together with tea and coffee.

SUNDAY LUNCH

We serve a traditional roast with a choice of 3 meats,
a fish & vegetarian option.
Also most of our ‘Old favourites’ & ‘Light Bites’ menus.

Starters

Homemade soup of the day
Galia melon with orange sorbet & mixed berries
Chef’s seafood timbale
Homemade chicken liver pate
Grilled goats cheese with a cranberry dressing
Deep fried Jalapeno peppers, filled with cream cheese, served with a salsa dip
Garlic bread topped with mushrooms & Shropshire blue

Main Courses

All served with seasonal vegetables, & a choice of
home-cut chips or new potatoes

Meats

Gressingham Duck breast, pan fried with a tangy orange sauce
Chicken breast filled with Shropshire blue cheese, served with a white wine sauce
Gammon steak grilled & served with pineapple
Welsh Lamb Henry, slow roasted in a rich red wine & rosemary gravy,
served with mash potato

House steaks

Cooked to your specification over a charcoal griddle.
Served with grilled tomatoes, onions & mushrooms,
peppercorn or Stilton sauce

8 oz Sirloin steak
8 oz Fillet steak

Fish

Daily Specials available. Your fish will be cooked fresh to order.
We can of course simply grill with herbs & butter if preferred.

Salmon fillet grilled with a creamy lemon & dill sauce
